eWorkshop on Motor Sports in Nepal, 2 July 2020

E-workshop titled "Motorsports in Nepal" was held in Nepal through the zoom meeting by Nepal Automobiles' Association (NASA Nepal) on 2nd July 2020. This workshop has put forward the clear concept on Motorsports and Drive Tourism which has been new products in the field of Nepal's automobile, tourism and sports.

General Secretary of Motorsports Singapore & FIA Women in Motor Sports representative Ms. Janette Tan spoke on "Women in Motorsports", President of Chinese Taipei Motorsports (CTMS) Dr. Kwong Wing Yeung shared his presentation on "Short Circuit & Auto Gymkhana", Ms. Samir Nazir from Institute of Road Safety Traffic Environment Pakistan talked on "Four Wheeler Safety" and FIA Environment & Sustainability Commission member Mr. Govinda Prasad Bhattarai presented on "Environment & Sustainability Issues in Motorsports" were among the speakers in the workshop.

Likewise, in the program CEO of Volkswagen Nepal Mr. Bibek Bijukchhe spoke about 'Volkswagen Involvement in Motorsports', Mr. Vikram Singhaniya from Delta Tyres Nepal presented on 'Delta Tyres and Motorsports Involvement', General Secretary of Nepal Automobiles Association (NASA Nepal) Er. Ashish Gajurel talked about NASA's 20 year action plan, Mr. Aashish Lamichhane from Nepal Motor Sports Club spoke on 'Motorsports in Nepal' and Motor Sports Columnist, Mr. Aatmiya Silwal addressed "Digital Motorsports". Ms. Sela Ghebremadhin from Federation Internationale De l' Automobile (FIA) and Senior Steward Mr. Prabhakar from Formula1 also put their respective views on the topic.

 

 

There were more than 50 participants in the workshop from different countries. This workshop was conducted in cooperation with Mountain Sports Federation- Nepal, coordinated by NASA Nepal and managed by Nepal Motor Sports Club (NMSC). This E-Workshop was hosted by Mr. Anil Baral, Secretary, NASA Nepal who made clear on Infrastructure, Model, Safety & Sustainability for Four Wheeler Sports and Drive Tourism in Nepal.
